PLUSH PAINTING chiefly consists of Colin Taylor, owner AND principle craftsman.

I have been painting since 1986, and in business on my own since 1994.

Experience

I actually started as painter for a London firm who were involved with the decorative paint finishes(faux) craze of the time. We spent more of our time "ragging","dragging", and "graining" than doing straight white paint, and spent a large amount of time travelling around the country applying these finishes to pub interiors.

When inevitably that all died down, I started to appreciate the skill, knowledge, and care needed to become a "true" painter, and have since concentrated on developing myself in this role.

Taking on a broad range of interior and exterior painting projects, as well as paperhanging, paint-spraying, has equipped me with the skills and experience to tackle most painting projects. So, whether painting a "Rock-Stars" palace, or a local pensioners' bungalow, customers can be assured that I will always bring the same commitment to quality in every job.

Insurance

I am insured against public liability to £5m.
When I employ other workers I carry full employers liability insurance.

Health & Safety

We take Health & Safety very seriously and are not willing to compromise our, or anyone else's safety to make savings on time or cost. I have attended a number of Health & Safety related courses and plan to update my knowledge throughout my career. I hope all my customers will agree that the small premium this adds to the cost of my services is justified, because if a jobs not worth doing safely, then its not worth doing at all.

I keep a health & safety policy manual and am currently applying to become CHAS compliant. This will mean larger employers like County Councils will not have to continually re-assess my Health & Safety status.

I carry a large library of Product Safety Data Sheets which are constantly updated.
